I loved working with Pluto Press and art director Melanie Patrick on the cover for Solidarity.
Here's another new cover for Hurst Publishers, The National Debt: A Short History by Martin Slater. Hurst wanted a simple yet striking cover for this accessible book and I did this by creating a rubber stamp to print the title.
I represented Swindon Town FC in the Football Crest Index project. My piece used a quote from a commentator, coupled with an illustration from Swindon's 1969 victory in the League Cup final against Arsenal.
I was thrilled to work with Pluto Press to design the cover for Steve Striffler's book Solidarity. I've wanted to work with Pluto for a long time, so was great to be asked to work on this one. Art direction by Melanie Patrick.
Here's the cover I designed for the young adult Kenyan crime thriller City of Saints & Thieves, designed for Oneworld and Rock the Boat. The cover features hand painted typography, coupled with some bold colours and striking imagery.
I've recently started working with the National Union of Teachers on their members magazine the Teacher. For now, here's a typographic piece I did for the September October 2016 issue.
Come back soon to see more of my work for the NUT.
Pickles Magazine asked me to create a piece of work that captured the opening game of Euro 2016 in France. I chose to create a typographic piece around the 'Allez le Bleus' chant, but combine it with the tension of all the extra security for the heightened terrorist threat. France has had a testing time with attacks, strikes and natural disasters, so I wanted something celebratory, but at the same time a bit unnerved.
The launch of Edith Bowman's Great British Music Festival book took place this week. I designed the book package for Blink Publishing and it was great to see the book's typography being used on everything from stage backing to bunting and beer mats.
